June Meeting – 23rd

We will be meeting at the Hillaton/Kings Aerodrome for our monthly meeting at 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 23.

There will be a couple of items on the agenda.

  1. Debriefing of the Young Eagles Rally.  We want to know what went right and what went wrong so that we will make the next rally even better than the last. And smooth out any rough edges in procedures.
  2. Jack Neima will be there to talk about the Canadian EAA and what it means to us.

Place: The Kings Aerodrome (CHL2) on Saxon Street south of Canning, N.S.
Time: 9:00 am through 1:00 pm

We met in KingAero Tech’s current hanger for sign-in and orientation. (click images for full size)

The weather turned very nice later in the morning.  Here are some EAA members enjoying that sunshine (before getting a group photo – copy coming later)

    • Young Eagles Information at EAA.org – This link has general information on the Young Eagle Program which goes beyond just taking a flight or visiting an airport. The youth can become a Young Eagle and get free benefits from EAA if they are interested in learning more about aviation and flying.

Meeting Visit – 27 January

We were invited by Nick & Brenda Nyenhuis to visit their shop on 27 January 2018 at 1:30 and see the VANS RV-10 which they have under construction. They had good progress to show on the fuselage plus a slide show & information about interesting things which they saw when they attended Oshkosh this summer.  Ten EAA members were able to make it to the meeting and enjoyed a couple hours learning of tools and techniques used by Nick in his build.

For a preview you can have a look at their project log at:
